An early highlight in the workplace for me was working with a team to set up a flexible learning centre.

To begin we had a focused facilitated meeting, decided on the purpose and parameters of our group, who would do what, when it would be done by and how we would work together.

We would go off after each meeting and collect information relevant to the project as well as reflecting on our personal learning.  This was different for each person.  The learning would be about a policy, procedure or self-development in technical or soft skills.  At the end of month we had a facilitated meeting to share our findings and experiences.  These meetings/celebrations kept us on track, built strong working relationships and project outcomes were achieved quickly.

Once each team member discovered what they needed to learn, the facilitator worked with members who wanted help and pointed them in the right direction.

No one really knew what was going to unfold on this journey. Apart from the physical outcomes of the centre and the policies and procedures and learning resources, it was an uplifting experience for the team, we all grew personally and professionally and connected further to the organisation.

A Fresh Start is Your Way Forward’s experience.

Can you see this as an opportunity for your team?
